Meet the Team

Tammy Barber, Office Manager joined Dr. Lichorwic’s team in 2006 as the Hygiene Coordinator.  Today, as office manager she oversees and implements all business related aspects of the practice. 

She enjoys the responsibility of making sure the practice is financially “healthy” and that the patients’ needs are met.  Providing patients with the most awesome dental experience possible is of utmost importance to Tammy.

Tammy holds a B.S. degree in Psychology and has been married to Steve for 23 years, has 3 children and a dachshund.  When she has spare time she enjoys reading, sewing and photography.  She is active in her local Temple and is president of the Temple Sisterhood.


Tonia Covington, RDH, AS is a graduate of Louisiana State University. Holding licenses in both Florida and Louisiana and has an additional certificate in administering Local Anesthesia. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and is active in the local chapter of the Emerald Coast Dental Hygiene Association.

She brings twelve years of hygiene experience as an integral team member of The Centers for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry for the past seven years.  Tonia completes beyond the minimum requirements for continuing education courses each year, with special interest in disease prevention and nutrition. Her passion is providing the most comprehensive periodontal treatments and helping her patients achieve overall health.

Tonia is engaged to be married to her fiancé, Brian, who is a Destin native. They enjoy cruising to Crab Island on their jet ski, working out at the gym, and spending time with their new kitten, Cali.














 

Lesley Taylor, CDA has been a certified dental assistant for the Centers for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry since 2010.

She enjoys her profession as it enables her to help patients regain their self-confidence by improving their smile and their health.

Lesley is originally from Tallahassee, Florida and enjoys living on the Emerald Coast, since she loves the outdoors and is able to go fishing, boating, and paddleboarding in her spare time.

She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and has traveled to places such as Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on a dental mission trip, where she volunteered her skills to an orphanage as a dental assistant.

Lesley hopes to participate in future mission trips, as she believes in the importance of volunteerism and helping those without access to dental health services.


 

Jennifer Andersen has been a Scheduling Coordinator for The Center for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry for the past five years.

She has completed professional business training through Summit Management and Cathy Jameson Consultants and has previous work experience in the banking industry.

Jenn will likely be the first smile you see when you enter the office lobby doors. She loves working with people and values the rewarding experience of seeing a smile on a patient's face when they leave after treatment.

She has an eighteen year-old son, Dylan and enjoys watching football, spending time with family and friends, bowling, and reading when she is away from the office.



 

Tara Day, CDA graduated at the top of her class from Northwest Florida State College and has been a certified dental assistant for the Centers for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry since 2009.

Tara is the lead assistant for our team, and her strong work ethic and precise attention to detail allow patients to feel confident and comfortable in the dental chair.

She enjoys her work as the lead assistant in our growing practice, as it allows her to use her highly skilled expertise to teach others and work within a group of people and patients that she loves. 

When she is outside of the office, Tara remains busy working at Mermaid's Boutique on the weekends, babysitting for families in the area, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys living in her new home in the Santa Rosa Beach area, which she shares with her precious five year old son, Mason.



 

Sarah Pope, RDH, BA  graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from the University of Florida and an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene Magna Cum Laude from Gulf Coast State College.  

Sarah is originally from Ormond Beach, FL. She lived in Palm Beach, FL and Atlanta, Georgia before moving to the Destin area in 2007 after marrying her husband, Jeremy—a Fort Walton Beach native.

She strives to make her patients feel comfortable and welcome in the dental chair and will offer a gentle touch, warm smile, and a kind word to put their fears at ease. She values the importance of encouragement and patient education to help patients achieve their healthiest smile.

When she is away from the office, Sarah enjoys the beach, spending time with her husband, family and friends, and spoiling her Maltese, Ella.


 

 

Jessica Grantello, CDA had first joined the practice in April 2011 as an intern. In July, she was excited to become a permanent fixture to our team. Jessica attended Fortis Institute in Pensacola for Dental Assisting and graduated with an overall GPA of 4.0. She is certified in the state of Florida and will test to become nationally certified within the next few months.

Jessica enjoys assisting and appreciates that every day is a constant learning experience. She loves to educate her patients and help them understand the importance of having healthy teeth and gums. She believes that there is nothing more rewarding than knowing that you have helped your patients get one step closer to achieving their goals of overall oral health.

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Jessica moved to Fort Walton Beach in 2004. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Pat and their 3 year old daughter Braelyn. They have recently relocated to Destin, where going to the beach has become a weekly family activity. She also enjoys watching football and hockey, particularly the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

Jessica plans to further her education in the dental field and continue on to earn a degree in Dental Hygiene. Dr. Lichorwic and his amazing team have really been an inspiration to her and her desire to learn all she can. She hopes to remain a part of this team for a long time and understands that continuing her education is imperative to achieving her personal and professional goals.
